ELECTIONS, MEETINGS, & QUORUMS

A.   Election of Association Officers shall be conducted during the Annual IDMT Symposium.

  1. The names of candidates shall be taken and posted on the IDMT Home Page 60 days prior to the Annual IDMT Symposium, candidates submitted will be contacted to verify their willingness to assume office. Individuals may be nominated for more than one office; however upon election to an office they must withdraw their name from all remaining positions.
  2. Floor nominations will be accepted during the symposium provided the candidate is present, gives consent (verbally/written), and has sufficient time left to fulfill the term of office. Previous elected officers may be reelected; they can not hold the same office more than two terms in a row.
  3. Voting shall be by secret ballot. Absentee voting will be accomplished on the IDMT Home Page for those unable to attend. All Symposium attendees will be issued ballots the first morning of the Symposium; the elections will be conducted on the last day.
  4. A majority vote is required to elect a candidate, if the tabulation reveals there would be a sufficient quantity of votes to influence the final outcome after eliminating all candidates with the exception of the top 2 or 3; a run-off will be conducted to determine the winner.
  5. Any vacancies in the elected positions of the Association occurring prior to regularly scheduled elections shall be filled IAW: Article V; D.

B.   General meetings of the Executive Group shall be conducted on a quarterly basis at times and places as shall be designated by the President and Advisor; meetings will be held by means of internet /e-mail services or VTC to help reduce travel expenditures and time away from work station.

     2.  At least one-half (1/2) voting members shall constitute a quorum of the Executive Group. Absent members shall be counted as present at special meetings, but only as to those matters with respect to which the vote, in writing, of such absent members, is received by the Recorder of the Association prior to the meeting.
